Capones is a well established restaurant that required a complete refresh of its online presence and ordering infrastructure. The project was delivered over a period of approximately 30 days, followed by live testing and optimisation. The scope included a full website redesign, implementation of an in house online ordering system, and integration of table reservations. The primary goal was to replace an outdated and difficult to manage website with a modern, reliable platform that gives the restaurant full control over online orders while reducing dependence on third party delivery services. The outcome is a fully responsive website with a smooth ordering experience, distance based delivery pricing, and a system that supports daily operations without disruption.

Summary

This project was created to help Capones transition from an outdated and restrictive website to a modern digital platform that supports the real needs of a busy restaurant. Delivered over a core implementation period of around 30 days, the scope included a full website redesign, setup of a custom online ordering system, and integration of table reservations. The main goal was to improve usability for customers while giving the restaurant full control over online orders, pricing logic, and content updates.
The project is significant because it allowed Capones to move away from heavy reliance on third party food aggregators that charge high commission fees. By introducing an in house ordering system tailored to their delivery areas and distance based pricing, the business gained more flexibility and improved margins. One of the key challenges was launching the new system without interrupting live online orders, which we overcame by rolling out changes gradually and refining the platform in real time. The final result is a fully responsive, reliable, and visually modern website that supports daily operations and provides a strong foundation for future growth.

Challenge

The project was initiated because Capones’ existing website no longer supported the operational demands of the restaurant. The platform was outdated, difficult to manage, and relied on a glitch prone online ordering system that caused friction for both customers and staff. Making even minor content updates required technical intervention, which slowed down day to day operations and limited flexibility. In addition, the restaurant was heavily dependent on third party delivery platforms that charged high commission fees, reducing overall profitability.
A major challenge was replacing the entire ordering infrastructure while keeping the restaurant fully operational. Online orders could not be paused or taken offline, which meant the new system had to be launched live and refined without disrupting service. Balancing technical implementation, user experience improvements, and cost efficiency within a tight timeframe required careful planning and ongoing adjustments. Overcoming these constraints was critical to delivering a solution that was stable, scalable, and aligned with the restaurant’s long term goals.
